I went to see the film ‘Age of Stupid in Lichfield yesterday evening.

This really is a must see for anyone who is concerned about climate change and oil dependence - or for anyone who questions the seriousness of the crisis we face.

Look out for screenings at http://www.ageofstupid.net/screenings/upcoming

This week is Recycle Week 2009.

A good time to check whether we are reusing or recycling everything we can!

I just watched a really cool video from the crew at www.350.org. It’s about new global campaign focused on making sure the world takes the kind of big, bold, fast action that we need to solve this crisis–check it out: http://www.350.org/video

It’s the International Day of Climate Action on 24 October, 2009, anyone interested in doing something locally?

A big thank you to those who came to see us on the Save Your Energy stall at yesterday’s fete.

A special thankyou to those people who expressed an interest in forming a community group to tackle carbon emissions and other environmental matters, will be in touch soon!

One of the cheapest and easiest ways of reducing electricity bills and reducing carbon emissions is to replace light bulbs with low energy ones. Asda is currently selling 11 and 20w GE low energy bulbs at a price of £1 for any four - they are normally £1 each.  Each bulb should save around £3.50 during its life so it is well worth investing 25p!
